Oddly though, contrary to what you say there BabyAnimal, LT (brake axis) had to be set to 'centered' and RT (accleration axis) had to be set to 'inverted and centered'. Yes even though it's called FFB Rumble its not the actual wheel force feedback where the wheel fights back and stuff. That's just the name of the Rumble. It's not the FFB everyone thinks your talking about. Even in the game. The Force Feedback Setting is for wheels. It doesn't change the controller rumble your talking about

Once configured it depends on what the configuration is using. If it is using some UI elements (e.g. radial menu), you need to use the Big Picture overlay for those elements to work.

Edit3: After some testing, I can't get the controller to work in any useful way on menus. However, I can get the controller to work for driving mode, but only i unplug the controller then plug it back in when I start driving. If at any point I go back to the menu, I have to replug the controller to get it to work again.
